Diving in Tossa de Mar

Discover the seabed of the Costa Brava

The Costa Brava is one of the largest diving sites in Spain: crystal clear waters, small coves and curious rocks that make it an idyllic place for diving and snorkeling activities, and other activities related to the sea.

At Gran Hotel Reymar we offer PADI courses in association with local diving centers. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, let yourself be guided by our qualified professionals and discover the seabed in Tossa de Mar.

The Costa Brava, paradise for lovers of scuba diving:

Tossa de Mar

Tossa de Mar

The Mar Menuda beach in Tossa de Mar, located in front of our hotel, has a wide variety of underwater life: octopuses, lobsters, conger eels, moray eels and scorpion fish, among others.

It is an ideal beach for diving initiations and for divers with little experience, since access to the water is from the shore.

Medas Islands

Medas Islands

The Medes Islands are a marine reserve located on the Costa Brava, just over a kilometre off the coast of Estartit. They are part of the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park. The archipelago is made up of two main islands, five islets and other smaller islets. It has a total area of 21.5 hectares and has a great diversity of underwater flora and fauna.

Cap de Creus

Cap de Creus

The Cap de Creus Natural Park, located in the Alt Empordà region, was the first maritime-terrestrial park in Catalonia. It has a coastline with a peculiar morphology due to the erosion of the Tramuntana and the sea.

Its seabed has a great diversity of communities and species. A habitat for echinoderms, polychaetes, molluscs (cephalopods and bivalves), crustaceans (such as lobsters) and coastal fish (such as the gilt-head bream or the grouper, among others).
